5 Tips To Cut Down On Wedding Planning Stress

5 Tips To Cut Down On Wedding Planning Stress

Congratulations, you’re engaged, and you’re ready to start planning your wedding. If you’re suddenly overwhelmed and worried that things are about to get stressful, know that it doesn’t have to feel that way! It’s no secret that many brides get weighed down by all the little details and decisions they have to make to pull off their dream day. But, the good news is, there are plenty of things you can do throughout the planning process to make it not only less stressful but actually enjoyable. These are our top 5 tips to help you beat wedding planning stress from the moment you get engaged right up until your wedding day.

1: Ask For Help To Help You Stress Less

Don’t be afraid to delegate and enlist the help of your family and friends. It would be next to impossible to plan your entire wedding without any assistance. Plus, it wouldn’t be very fun. Ask past brides for recommendations, get your bridal party involved and ask family to lend a hand. You’ll likely find that not only are the people in your life happy to help you bring your wedding to life, but they’re also happy to be involved in the process.

2: Have Fun And Enjoy Yourself!

Don’t forget to enjoy this time. Sure, things can get tense, but remind yourself that you’re about to have the day of your dreams and start a lifetime with your true love. Wedding planning doesn’t have to be stressful or tense. It can be a lot of fun. You get to choose everything you love and watch as it comes together for a wedding day that you’ll talk about for the rest of your lives. Take time to celebrate big decisions, practice gratitude, and cherish the quality time you get to spend with your soon-to-be spouse while you’re talking about wedding details.

3: Take Breaks To Cut Down On Wedding Planning Stress

Take time to unwind and focus on things other than your wedding! It’s a good idea to designate ‘no wedding talk’ time to help you stress less. It will keep you sane and those around you from getting a case of wedding fatigue. When I help couples plan their weddings, I try to have them make as many big decisions right away as possible. Then, the couple has time to relax and plan at their own pace leading up to the big day. They can take breaks, go for a weekend away and spend time enjoying other things without stressing that everything will get done. Rest is restorative, and this is especially true when you’re planning a big event!

4: Take Time For Self-Care And Stress Relief

The best way to destress, anytime, is to take care of yourself. Make sure you’re exercising, eating well, and getting plenty of sleep. The last thing you want is to get sick right before your wedding because you’ve been stressing nonstop about your big day! Be kind to yourself and patient with your partner while you’re planning your wedding. And don’t forget to take time for yourself. Whether that means getting a massage, hitting the gym, or enjoying a good book, don’t forget how important self-care is.

5: Hire A Wedding Planner To Handle All The Stressful Details!

There’s nothing that’ll help you stress less than hiring a wedding planner to help bring your wedding to life. We love bringing a couple’s vision to life and helping them enjoy the journey, not just their wedding day. Send us a message to get started on your wedding, today!

Boho Wedding Decor Tip #1: Start With Stationary.

Set the tone for your wedding with a boho invitation design. Choose warm neutrals and subtle color. Enlist the help of an indie illustrator. And select a font that’s as quirky as you are.

When it comes to boho florals, think beyond fresh blooms. Add pampas grass, dried buds, and lush greenery. Also, try a loosely cascading style with sweeping greens for a romantic, whimsical look.

A colorful Tulum pueblo oasis wedding

HIGHLIGHTS:

Sarah & Eric are well traveled couple that love, love, love the culture of Mexico. I’ll never forget Sarah telling me she didn’t want to touch sand the day of her wedding. So, how do you please a bride that wants to marry in a location with the whitest, softest sand that you ever have walked on, but not walk on? Well, that’s where this venue checked the box.

ALL THE DETAILS:

Everything about their wedding was culture, color and MEXICO! From Mariachi´s with bright decor and buckets of beer, Palomas chips and guacamole at their Welcome Party to terra cotta clay pots, huge candles with wax dripping on tall rustic candelabras during the ceremony. You would have thought you were in San Miquel Allende, which is where they honeymooned!

Their photographer took them offsite into the town to capture the color and essence of Tulum pueblo while their guests were served up cocktails and ceviche. When they returned they all meandered over to a family style dinner capped off with Tres Leches cake & Mexican wedding cookies. Dancing and dip in the pool followed. Yes, you read that right. Almost everyone jumped in!
